E Minor
Installation
graphite on canvas, wood

The apartment where I rented a room during my studies at the Estonian Academy of Art had an old piano in it. Out of tune. Made in Riga.
Nobody played it. It was just there.
Until I decided to learn the E minor key on it and spent hours in total, just improvising.
Never really learnt to play a song.
But from then on I knew that if I ever get fortunate enough to have my own studio to work in, it needs a white piano. I knew the keys would get smudged from all the playing eventually, but if I never learn any other key to play in - I could save a few.
