Ideals For Beauty
Series of 2, 2026

Beauty has always been defined by art.
For centuries, until social media took it's place.

For me, the body is also a canvas. It has always been.

Canvas 1 and Canvas 2 are built one square at the time, up close, where the whole dissolves into detail. Stepping back reveals the figure.
Recognisable, but not quite.
Just like the standards of beauty.

This series examines beauty standards through the lens of dysmorphophobia. A condition involving an obsessive preoccupation with minor or imagined flaws in physical appearance.
